A familiar moment
The expectant parent exploring continuity of care
You are carrying out a home visit when an expectant parent calls to understand what support may be available. Ziverly can capture who is enquiring, broad stage of pregnancy, general area, expected timing, whether the question concerns antenatal, birth or postnatal support, current maternity team or planned place of care, communication and accessibility needs, other family members involved and preferred contact. It does not request detailed clinical history during an introductory call, assess symptoms, pregnancy risk, home-birth suitability, capacity or consent, give maternity, medicines, feeding or infant-health advice, interpret notes or test results, replace the caller's NHS or existing maternity team, confirm availability, fees, care, attendance or transfer arrangements, or accept a client. Urgent symptoms, concern about a parent or baby, labour advice or immediate danger must go directly to the caller's maternity unit, NHS urgent-care route or emergency services as appropriate.
